[already there and waiting, insomuch as bouncing a volleyball off a wall (the training room's large gym-like space works wonderfully) counts as waiting. he's a tad grimmy - routine boot camp training had ended not twenty minutes prior, and he's still getting a knack for sneaking in showers - but also hyper-aware, so the second Sasuke steps into the room--]

[Sports equipment. As he'd suspected, Hinata wanted to show him this sport that he played. Sasuke hadn't ever really trained in anything that he didn't think would be useful to him in combat, so it's not only volleyball that he doesn't know, it's most sports in general.
The ninja himself shares a strong family resemblance with his brother once you get close, though Sasuke is a little less world-weary.]

[his file probably hadn't lied, so to think he wouldn't be capable of playing just because he was short one limb didn't make sense, but there was a big difference between assassinations and sports... as both of them knew.]

It's a little harder to catch a ball of that size with one hand, but a little bit of chakra to help stick it works wonders. That sort of thing comes second nature by now.
